Teaching and learning informed by Early Years Framework, Australian Curriculum and the SACE is the core business of the Hospital Education Services. Learning programs are prepared in collaboration with:

• the student
• the parents/caregivers
• the enrolling school

Enrolling schools are encouraged to provide current classroom learning topics or tasks which can be faxed or emailed to the Hospital Education Services. These are incorporated into the classroom program and may be adapted to cater for the student’s medical needs and general well being. There is a high focus on literacy and numeracy which is taught explicitly as well as integrated into other curriculum areas.
